Kanaan Wins Again

August 14, 2007 - On Wednesday Tony Kanaan was working-out at St. Vincent Sports Performance Center. On Saturday, the IndyCar Series driver was standing in victory lane at Kentucky Speedway. Kanaan would be the first to tell you his fitness level and his racing success go hand-in-hand.

Kanaan, who drives for Indianapolis-based Andretti-Green Racing, makes his home in Miami but is a regular visitor to SVSPC when spending time at the race shop.

Saturday's victory was his second straight and brings Kanaan to within 52 points of his AGR teammate and series points leader Dario Franchitti.

The victory at Kentucky Speedway was Kanaan's third win of the season and pulls him to within striking distance of a second IndyCar Series championship. Three races remain on the 2007 schedule with the next date slated for August 24-26 at Sonoma, California.
