Carol Happ MS, CSCS, USAW, RKC
Carol has eighteen years of professional experience in the sport and fitness field. For the past eight years, she has been an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Minnesota. At Minnesota, she was responsible for developing and administering strength and conditioning programs for the women’s track and field team (throwers, sprints, mid-distance, distance, pole vault, and multi-event athletes), women’s cross-country, and women’s tennis team. She also assisted other strength coaches with soccer, volleyball, hockey, and softball teams.
During her time at Minnesota, Carol has trained 5 Big Ten Championship teams, 40 Big Ten Champions, 2 NCAA Champions, 2 Olympians, 6 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and over 30 All-Americans.
Prior to Minnesota, Carol spent 2 years at Ball State University. She was responsible for men’s track and field, men’s tennis, men’s swimming, men’s golf, men’s and women’s cross-country, and men’s and women’s diving. She also assisted with football, women’s volleyball, and women’s basketball.
Carol is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), USA Weight Lifting Certified Club Coach (USAW), and a Certified Russian Kettlebell Instructor (RKC).
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Fitness/Exercise Science in 1989 from Western Illinois University, and completed her Master’s degree of Science in Sport Psychology from Ball State University in 1998.
